Sûreté du Québec divers summarized their search Monday morning for the driver of a pickup truck seen sinking into the Chaudière River in Beauceville on Sunday afternoon.

The SQ were deployed along with local firefighters in a recovery operation a little after 3 pm on Sunday.

The vehicle was traveling along 156 Ave. before crossing Lambert Ave. and plunging into the river, police said.

The SQ has established a command post at the site, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
