The officers of the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) and the forensic identification unit were back near the residence located at 1092 chemin du Sault, Thursday morning.
A command post was also deployed on site, to allow the investigators to do their work, while a truck full of objects from the residence was parked nearby.
The SPVQ still does not confirm that the investigation has a link with the disappearance of Marilyn Bergeron. However, the parents of the young woman said on Wednesday that they had been met by the authorities as part of this deployment.
Note that the residence is a few blocks from the former Café Dépôt, where the young woman was last seen in February 2008.
Alteration and arrest
The resident of the place, Yvon Côté, was still prowling in his car around the scene erected by the police. Visibly irritated by the presence of the media, he did not wish to grant any interview.
Angry when the author of these lines tried to take a photo of the residence, Mr. Côté violently insulted him, before attacking him physically.
“Let me see you take a picture my tabarnak“, he launched before getting out of his car and pushing the journalist with both hands in a snow bank.
Police officers who saw the scene quickly intervened, defusing the situation, before the man showed aggression a second time towards another journalist.
Yvon Côté was arrested by the Service de police de la Ville de Lévis (SPVL), following the filing of an official complaint. His arrest also allowed authorities to search his vehicle.
