The Mossos d’Esquadra have activated this Tuesday, an hour before the start of the league match that the FC Barcelona and the Royal Celtic Club of Vigo in it Camp Noua police device to contain the rise in violence of the Boixos Nois. The intervention is carried out by members of the Mobile Brigade of the Catalan police in four bars where members of this faction usually congregate considered radical.
Catalan police sources stress that it is a prevention device which has been agreed upon after verifying an increase in violent actions carried out by the Boixos in recent months and, especially, in recent weeks. The objective of the operation is to identify and register members of this group to ensure that they do not carry weapons, blunt objects or pyrotechnic material that they have used in recent confrontations against the Mossos riot police and against rival hobbies.
The background that motivated the operation
The March 10ththe Boixos Nois attacked the Turkish fans of the Galatasaray and, later, fireworks were thrown at members of the Mobile Brigade who were in Travessera de Les Corts. As a result of those events, an investigation was opened that is still ongoing. And UEFA sanctioned FCBarcelona with 10,000 euros, according to the Planta Baixa program, considering that the acts of vandalism that occurred in the vicinity of the stadium are also the responsibility of the club.
The April 14th, on the occasion of the meeting that Eintracht Frankfurt played at the Camp Nou, again during the week and in European competition –Xavi Hernández’s team was eliminated–, the Boixos Nois attacks on rival fans were repeated, this time of German origin, according to the Mossos. In the initial moments, again in the Bacardi Gardens, blunt weapons were found, especially baseball bats. The day of the Galatasaray, the attackers fled when they loaded the riot police and in the same area the police ended up finding homemade spears. A Brimo agent was injured when he was hit by a blunt object thrown at him in the rain of pyrotechnic material.

The Catalan police, who reacted to try to prevent the attack on the German fans, ended up being attacked by the Boixos Nois, according to police sources. Due to these facts, a second investigation was opened that has already allowed arrest two suspects.
The third incident occurred last week, when members of the Boixos Nois attacked followers of the Blue and White Brigades in a bar Cornella (Baix Llobregat) minutes before the duel between the RCD Espanyol and the Real society.
