Dead bodies of two people found in Crofton’s home, man arrested

One suspect was taken to the North Cowichan RCMP detachment and remains in custody.

Two bodies were found in a Vancouver Island home early Saturday morning.

North Cowichan-Duncan RCMP officers were called to a report of suspicious circumstances at a home in the 8600 block of Crofton Road in Crofton.

When the police arrived, they found the bodies in the house. A man was also present and was arrested.

The man was taken to the North Cowichan RCMP detachment and remains in custody.

“While the investigation is in the preliminary stages, the police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no continuing risk to the general public,” said RCMP spokesman Sgt. Chris Manseau said in a statement.
