It is by a soberly intiulated video Epilogue and published on their YouTube account that the two Frenchmen announced their separation. Information confirmed by their press attaché at Agence France-Presse (AFP). The nearly eight-minute video features an excerpt from their film Electroma (2008), in which the two helmeted musicians take turns exploding in the middle of a desert. “Hold on, if love is the answer, you’re home”, we hear at the end, taking up a passage from their song “Touch” released in 2013 on Random Access Memories, their latest album.

At the time, their song “Get Lucky”, with Pharell Williams and Nile Rodgers had toured the world, further increasing the notoriety of the emblematic duo of the French touch. The following year, in 2014, the French won five Grammy Awards, including album of the year.
