Cuauhtémoc Mayor’s Office presents project to detonate Garibaldi Corridor

In order to achieve a greater economic reactivation for the mayor’s office Cuauhtémoc and to detonate its tourist vocation, the mayor, Sandra Cuevas Nieves, announced an initial investment of 10 million pesos for the area of Garibaldi corridor.

The resources will be used for two items, the first one oriented in the infrastructure improvement, such as the remodeling of the San Camilito market, as well as the installation of more luminaires.

While the second aspect is to increase security in the area, for example, it seeks to install a Control tower, which it intends to monitor 24 hours a day.

The mayor also reported that this investment seeks to Garibaldi be better connected with La Lagunilla and the Historic center.

Garibaldi deserves to be a place worth visiting by all mexican families and foreign tourists. For this reason, we are going to invest in the market, in dining rooms, in toilets that are in deplorable conditions, but we will also seek that Garibaldi connect with the Lagunilla and Historic center in this process of economic reactivation ”, he said.

Security

Sandra Cuevas assured that in security matters there is already coordination with the Secretary of Citizen Security, Omar Hamid García Harfuch, to reinforce attention to Garibaldi and throughout the city hall Cuauhtémoc.

“We count on Garibaldi with the presence of elements of the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Civil Protection of the mayor’s office Cuauhtémoc, as well as the Elite Group of Immediate Reaction”. The Control tower and the Citizen Security Bunker will offer 24-hour surveillance in Garibaldi, he specified.

This action is also added to the project of the Zona Rosa Technological Tourist Corridor, where the objective “is the consolidation of the mayor’s office Cuauhtémoc as a central point of investment, innovation and tourist attraction. “The investment will be 300 million pesos and will be inaugurated on February 14, 2022.

Includes the rehabilitation of the 45 streets of the neighborhood Juarez, which cover 150 hectares and 116 critical points will be addressed (with re-filing, patching, replacement of lights, repair of manhole covers and tree pruning, among others).

Likewise, it seeks to directly benefit 700 commercial establishments in Pink Zone and more than 14,000 direct jobs and more than 6,000 indirect jobs will be generated.
