Crash in South Surrey Trench Leaves One Person Dead, RCMP Investigates – BC | The Canadian News

RCMP is investigating after a person was found dead in a submerged vehicle in South Surrey.

Police were called to 168th Street near 32nd Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday to receive reports of a partially submerged vehicle in the ditch.

Mounted and firefighters arrived and found the body in the driver’s seat.

Police said it was too early to determine what caused the accident. Aerial footage of the scene showed a vehicle in the ditch with tire tracks sliding off the road.

Anyone with information or a dashcam video shot in the area should contact Surrey RCMP.
