Covid-19: the health pass will be mandatory during student evenings, announces Frédérique Vidal

While the health pass is not mandatory to attend classes or participate in activities at the university, it will, on the contrary, be required during student evenings, announced Thursday, September 9, the Minister of Higher Education , Frédérique Vidal.

“We decided not to ban these events, which could have generated wild parties where no control of sanitary measures is possible. 75% of the reception capacity of the premises

Before participating in these parties, students will therefore have to present a complete vaccination schedule, a negative PCR or antigen test of less than seventy-two hours, or a certificate of recovery from Covid-19. Integration evenings and weekends must, moreover, “Be declared in advance to the head of the establishment”, specified the minister. And, if they take place on campus, the authorization of the headteacher will be required.

Also, a maximum tonnage of 75% of the reception capacity of the place must be respected and the wearing of a mask will be recommended. According to the minister, 77.5% of 18-24 year olds have a complete vaccination schedule against Covid-19.

In a completely different register, Mme Vidal said she would announce in early October “A national plan for the fight against gender-based and sexual violence in higher education establishments”. The minister promised measures to notably “Increase the number of reception centers for victims” and “Better train the people responsible for supporting them within the establishments”.
