Ontario Medical Director of Health Dr. Kieran Moore said Monday that PCR testing had been expanded at testing centers for people who had returned from seven southern African countries in response to the Omicron COVID variant. -19. He said that with cases being reported in more countries on a daily basis, the province is suggesting that the federal government expand testing to more travelers or direct it to more countries with a higher proportion of Omicron cases.
