Covid-19 in Mexico: SSa registers 4,251 new infections and 158 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health reported 4,251 new Covid-19 infections in the country and 158 new deaths registered in the last 24 hours.

In the daily technical report on the progress of the coronavirus pandemic in Mexico It is detailed that the official number of deaths from this disease amounted to 322,277 deaths; while the accumulated number of confirmed infections increased to 5,640,305.

Federal authorities estimate that nationwide there are 11,222 active cases of Covid-19that is, people who detected symptoms of the disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Regarding the hospital capacity for the care of patients with Covid-19the occupancy of general beds stands at 8%, one percentage point more than what was registered yesterday, while beds with ventilators for serious patients maintain an occupancy of 5 percent.

Vaccination against Covid-19 advances in Mexico

At the cutoff of Tuesday, March 23, the Ministry of Health reported that it applied 197,446 vaccines against the coronavirus, to reach 189 million 83,111 doses supplied nationwide.

The federal government highlighted that of the 85 million 538,032 people vaccinated against Covid-19 in Mexico, 79 million 562,871 people have a complete scheme.
