Covid-19 in Mexico: Ministry of Health reports 256 new deaths

Mexico added 256 new deaths from Covid-19, to reach a total of 290,630 deaths registered by the Ministry of Health since the pandemic began in the country.

The number of accumulated contagions of this disease in the country amounted to 3 million 838,308, after notifying 3,493 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours.

In the technical report on the progress of the epidemic, the health authorities estimate 290,630 active cases, that is, people who have manifested symptoms of the new coronavirus in the last 14 days.

According to data from the federal agency, 3 million 200,268 people have recovered from this disease.

Regarding hospital capacity, the occupation of general beds registered a percentage point less compared to what was reported yesterday, to stand at 17%; while ventilator beds for critically ill patients is 15 percent.

Vaccination strategy against Covid-19 in Mexico

As of Wednesday, November 10, the Ministry of Health supplied 261,575 vaccines against Covid-19, so the total number of doses applied nationwide increased to 129 million 201,826.

The federal government detailed that 62 million 881,897 people already have a complete vaccination scheme against coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, while 12 million 378,473 still await the application of the second dose.
