The province reported 459 new cases of the virus on Tuesday and a test positivity rate of 25 per cent. However, the number of cases is likely much higher due to the majority of Albertans using at-home rapid test kits which are unreported.

In Alberta, 90.1 per cent of people aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 86.6 per cent of the same age group are fully vaccinated and 42.1 per cent have gotten a booster dose. The percentage of children aged five to 11 have lower immunization rates with 47.9 per cent receiving at least one dose of a vaccine and 28.6 per cent being double vaccinated.
