Gary Crane’s wife Donna tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks before she received her second dose of the vaccine. About ten days after her diagnosis, the 56-year-old woman from Port Orange went to the emergency room since she was unable to breathe, reports CNN.

“After I got there, we couldn’t talk to each other,” she recalls. He said to me, ‘I want you to look out the window’. “

It was then that she saw her 61-year-old husband in the hospital parking lot with his poster.

“The nurses said, ‘Oh my God, he’s got a poster. It’s so adorable, ” says Ms. Crane. Every day I could see my lover in the parking lot. ”

Gary Crane explained that the idea came naturally to him.

“I don’t know why I thought about it, I just thought about it! She’s worth it and I wanted her to know that I was by her side, ”he says.

Fortunately, Donna Crane has recovered.

“It was an experience that changed my life. This chance is a real gift, ”she says.

The couple’s daughter is also expecting her first child and the future grandparents want to enjoy life to the fullest.

After coming close to death, Donna Crane invites others to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to avoid going through a situation similar to her own.
