COVID-19: Daily Cases Rise in Saskatchewan, 2 Deaths Reported | The Canadian News

Saskatchewan reported 185 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 96 more than the day before.

The province’s test positivity rate for Saturday is 9.4 percent.

The seven-day average of daily new cases also reaches 116, or 9.6 per 100,000 people.

The province also reported two new COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 910 since the start of the pandemic.

Across Saskatchewan, there are 1,167 active cases.

At the hospital, there are 155 COVID-19 patients, including 39 patients receiving intensive care.

Of the 155 hospitalized patients, 107, or 69 percent, are not fully vaccinated.

There are also nine ICU patients receiving care outside of the province. Since Friday’s update, a patient has returned to Saskatchewan.

Healthcare workers have administered 2,477 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since Friday’s update.
