COVID-19: BC health officials to share update Tuesday on vaccinations

BC health officials will host a briefing Tuesday afternoon to share updates on the status of vaccinations in BC

Health Minister Adrian Dix and provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry will both speak at the briefing, set to take place at 12:30 pm in Victoria.

Currently, everyone in BC ages 5 and up is eligible to receive their first and second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Third doses or booster doses are available for youth or adults who are immunocompromised, pregnant individuals, those living in care homes, or those living in rural or Indigenous communities.

Fourth doses or second booster doses are available for those in long-term care or assisted living, those who are age 70 and up, or those who are age 55 and up and are also Indigenous.

Those who are eligible will be contacted via BC’s Get Vaccinated program. To receive a vaccination, register online here.
