Cost of some Banco del Bienestar branches increased by up to 2 million pesos: ASF

The report mentions that, in addition, the supporting documentation of the performance of the work consisting of estimates and generating numbers that support the disbursement of the expenses incurred was not accredited, and the payment vouchers for the acquisition of furniture and equipment were not provided. 117.2 million pesos.

Likewise, it states that for these cases, the procedures, permits, licenses and rights of the real estate on which the works would be carried out were not carried out or obtained before the start of the works; there is no legal certainty of possession or making it available to the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) of the buildings in which the works would be carried out.

Other observations for 64.5 million pesos

Similarly, the report indicates that 64.5 million pesos were observed from the review of the contract for the provision of “software factory services for the development of Punta-Punta projects and operational support of Bansefi information systems”, held with the Center for Research and Innovation in Information and Communication Technologies (Infotec), for payments amounting to 47.4 million pesos, for work orders related to the development and installation of a new banking core system.

However, he specifies, said system is not installed or operating, and his staff is unaware of its location and existence.

“Additionally, it was observed that the banking ‘core’ system that operated at the date of the audit did not meet the needs and capacities required to support the bank’s operations,” he specifies.
