Consumers will pay up to 99.10% less IEPS on gasoline this week: Profeco

He explained that this is due to the cutoff of February 24, the mexican mix of oil was at 90.52 dollars per barrel.

Regarding the average price of premium gasoline, last week it was 23.10 pesos per liter and this week users will pay less than 77.46% of IEPS; the price of Diesel last week it was 22.25 pesos per liter and this week it will have minus 78.64% IEPS.

Ricardo Sheffield assured that since November 2018 the same gasoline prices and only the average inflation of these last three years, that is why the tax incentive is granted, so that prices do not increase.

He indicated that the alleged increase in fuels should not be used as a “pretext” to raise other products.

He reported that the brands with the highest fuel prices are: Redco, OXXO gas and fullgas; On the other hand, the brands with the cheapest prices are: G500, Exxon Mobil and Orsan.

The head of Profeco indicated that last week 255 complaints filed through the Litro por Litro mobile application were addressed; made 249 visits. He indicated that 5 gas stations did not allow themselves to be verified and inconsistencies were found in one.
