Collision in Abitibi-Témiscamingue: a woman dies and a teenager injured


A woman died and two people, including a teenager, were injured in a violent collision involving two vehicles in Saint-Félix-de-Dalquier in Abitibi-Témiscamingue on Sunday afternoon.

Around 1:30 p.m., a head-to-head collision took place between two cars on Route 109 in St Felix in Abitibi Témiscamingue.

According to the first information, the driver of the first vehicle died. The teenager who accompanied him was taken to a hospital for serious injuries, but there is no fear for his life, said Hélène St-Pierre, communications sergeant at the Sûreté du Québec.

The driver of the second car was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and there is no fear for his life either.

Route 109 is closed to traffic in both directions and a bypass has been erected.

A police officer in collision investigation will go on site to analyze the scene.
