CMIC calls on the authorities of Puebla to consider some of their projects to promote economic reactivation


Puebla, Pue. The Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) has a portfolio of works that represents an amount of 3,500 million pesos, which includes projects for the state and Metropolitan areaso he called the authorities to consider some.

Hector Sanchez Moralespresident of the organization, explained that these are works focused on mobility and logistics, that is, roads and vehicular bridges, which should be prioritized to speed up circulation or shorten distance.

He stressed that if part of the proposals were triggered, it would contribute to a greater economic revival of the sector, which continues to decline since the start of the covid-19 pandemicmore than two years ago.

He pointed out that Puebla capital concentrates most of the projects, however, proposals were presented to work in communities that belong to San Martín Texmelucan, Tehuacán, Teziutlán and Izúcar de Matamoros, where it is also required highway infrastructure.

“We have different portfolios taking into account priority issues such as education, health, parks, citizen comfort and roads, but considering the needs of the state and that the proposals have a social impact, rather than sumptuous works,” he deepened.

He said that there are municipalities that are a priority, since investments are needed to improve the conditions of citizens, a situation that in turn can help reactivate the construction sector.

He stressed that CMIC partners have social impact projects and it is what the state government seeks to prioritize, which meet objectives in various areas after analyzing the conditions of some municipalities both in the metropolitan area and in the interior of the state.

Sánchez Morales indicated that although the investment in public work has been undermined by pandemicas budget cuts are made to go to the health sector, it is also important to resume plans at the same pace as in other years.

The leader of the local CMIC stressed that the projects are in accordance with the state policy for the development of productive regions, where the state and municipalities must collaborate to achieve it this year.

He commented that the builders require a greater reactivation because otherwise it is to continue lagging behind other similar sectors in the country.
