Civilian and missile-free parade in North Korea

North Koreans were given a day off on Thursday on the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the regime, but some had to stand until the early hours of the morning to participate in the parade.

Again this year, North Korea did not allow foreign media offices in Pyongyang to cover the national day parade.

For nearly eight years, from 2010 to 2018, authorities allowed foreign media based in Pyongyang and the outside world to cover their major celebrations, including military parades, including live.

Since 2018, live broadcasts have been banned.
