China’s exports grow strongly in October

Exports of China grew more than expected in October, official data indicated Sunday, thanks to growing demand and the slowdown of the Covid-19 pandemic in some key markets.

According to statistics from the customs authorities, exports in October grew by 27.1% year-on-year to $ 300.2 billion, above what analysts expected.

Imports, on the other hand, remain somewhat below forecast, with an increase of 20.6% this month.

The increase in international trade of the second world economy comes despite disruptions in many Chinese factories due to energy shortages caused by reduced emissions, higher prices of coal and supply problems.
