The 23-year-old American, who was acquired in an offseason trade with the Chicago Fire, set a club record with 16 assists. The previous record of 13 was held by Montreal legend Ignacio Piatti. (Although the team changed its name to CF Montréal prior to the 2021 season, its MLS records include previous seasons such as Montreal Impact.)
Mihailovic is only the second player in team history to appear in all 32 MLS games of the season. Along the way, he scored four goals.
Central defender Rudy Camacho was named the club’s defensive player of the year after starting every but one CF Montreal game and scoring three goals.
The winners were selected by the subscribers and the trophies were presented to the players by coach Wilfried Nancy and sports director Olivier Renard at the club’s training center.
