CDMX and Campeche sign an alliance to promote public policies and digitization


As part of the country’s capital’s current plan to engage with its subnational neighbors, the Mexico City made an alliance with Campeche and it is precisely sought that the south-southeast entity can replicate the same digitization project of the city.

From the Old City Hall Palace, the head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, informed that it added its third collaboration agreement to support a neighboring federal entity in terms of development and application of public policies (whether in areas such as technology and innovation, good governance, security, culture, economic development, sustainable city, among others). ); the other two agreements were with the states of Veracruz and Michoacán.

During the signing of the Coordination Framework Agreement, the president of the capital explained that as a first action the Digital Agency for Public Innovation (ADIP) will execute a plan so that the entire territory of Campeche has internet access, as well as apply a regulatory improvement through digital tools, which will allow the simplification of procedures, a greater attraction of investments and improve local collection.

“Technological innovation has nothing to do with modernity or with the use of digital technologies (…) but rather means that the citizen, the citizen, that the inhabitants of the city have better access to their government (. ..) It has to do with avoiding long lines, long procedures,” he stressed.

The Governor of Campeche, Layda Sansores San Roman He stressed that this alliance between the two entities will result in fast and transparent procedures, which will also make the state more competitive and attractive to business.

“These digital implements are going to be very useful for a state where we are still facing the challenge of having the Internet,” recognized the leader of the local Executive.



Savings

The director general of the ADIP, Jose Antonio Pena Merinopointed out that this alliance and the digital commitment will also allow Campeche to generate budget savings.

For example, he explained that due to digital improvements and the development of new technologies, the Government of Mexico City has been able to save nearly 2,000 million pesos.

“There is a team from the Software Factory, which we put, of course, at the disposal of the state of Campeche; there are 45 young people, men, women, trained in Mexico City or in the country, who have managed to make more than 250 developments”, commented the state official.
