Caxxor and OHLA will create logistics hub to detonate the Colombia Bridge border crossing

Monterrey, NL. Caxxor Group announced that it established a relationship with OHLA, a global infrastructure group to jointly develop, privately and with its own resources, a master plan to create a Logistics Hub to detonate the border crossing of the Colombia Bridge, in Nuevo León.

Carlos Ortiz, CEO of Grupo Caxxor, estimated that there will be a private investment in infrastructure for the state of Nuevo León in the next five years, which could exceed 2,000 million dollars, indicates a company statement.

“The strategy will focus on development of freight rail and an industrial park that will achieve the characteristics of an inland port. The project also includes agricultural development with infrastructure such as a sanitizer operated with nuclear technology, “said the manager.

He explained that the strategic alliance resulting from the negotiations between Caxxor and OHLA to develop infrastructure in the state of Nuevo León, distinguishes OHLA for being one of the largest infrastructure builders in Mexico and Caxxor as the promoter of the largest private logistics project in Mexico which is the corridor T-MEC.

Caxxor and OHLA also participate jointly in the planning of the development of a program to establish 26 nuclear technology sanitation plants in the hands of the GALA group throughout the national territory.

“Caxxor does not rule out that, if the alliance with OHLA prospers and if the investors of both companies feel comfortable, they will be able to continue collaborating in the development of other assets of the T-MEC corridor, although for the moment this alliance is concentrated in the state of Nuevo León ”, emphasized Carlos Ortiz.

Dynamism Puerto Colombia

The Secretary of Regional and Agricultural Development of the state, Marco González Valdez, is in charge of the development of the Port of Colombia, with the instruction of the governor, Samuel García Sepúlveda, that Nuevo León has all the connectivity to a border logistics hub fully integrated within the state, which provides security, legal certainty, high technology , services and all the elements of competitiveness to detonate the exporting vocation of the state.

The government of Nuevo León has invited Grupo Caxxor to participate in the state’s logistical vision with the aim of strengthening the entity’s economic ties with Texas, considering that the T-MEC corridor, a Caxxor project, seeks to develop a port in northern Mexico that provides services and connectivity to the Middle East of the United States with the Pacific and primarily with the state of Texas.

The foregoing represents the possibility that Nuevo León will be integrated into the T-MEC corridor that until now included the states of Sinaloa, Durango and Coahuila, with totally private investment.

It should be remembered that on November 10, Grupo Caxxor formalized before the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) its interest in investing and developing the Durango-Pacífico railway line, which is part of the T-MEC Corridor, which implies an investment of 3,300 million dollars, under the Public Private Associations Law (APP).
