Apple says developers have made more than $ 200 billion since the launch of the App Store
Apple has shared details about how its various services, such as the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV and more, fared during 2020.
The update includes some interesting statistics. For example, Apple says developers have made more than $ 200 billion (about $ 254 billion Canadian) since the App Store launched in 2008. Between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, Apple says that customers App Store users spent $ 1.8 billion (about $ 2.3 billion Canadian) on digital goods. Apple says that was largely due to spending on games. Finally, Apple customers called in the new year setting a single-day spending record of more than $ 540 million (approximately C $ 686 million) on New Years Day.
