Parliament member’s cat interrupts committee meeting on Zoom

The world is working from home, so naturally, there’s a lot of Zoom shenanigans.U.K. Parliament members are unfortunately not immune. The Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee held a virtual meeting in July to discuss public service broadcasting. This meant very little to Rocco, the fluffy ginger cat that interrupted his owner, Scottish National Party MP John Nicolson, on camera. When Nicolson was chatting with Dame Carolyn McCall, the chief executive of ITV, Rocco decided to make an appearance. The MP wanted to know why children’s programming didn’t always have subtitles, a feature that was shown to improve literacy, but Rocco didn’t care.
