Ikea plans to stop selling non-rechargeable batteries by October 2021

Ikea's 'Alkalisk' non-rechargeable alkaline batteries will be gone around this time next year. In a statement, the Swedish furniture company said that stop selling almost all non-rechargeable batteries worldwide by October 2021. "Ikea sold around 300 million alkaline batteries globally last year, so we see great potential to inspire our customers to adopt new behaviors and use rechargeable batteries to their full potential," said Emelie Knoester, Business Area Manager for Ikea range and supply.
