Google confirms that the Pixel 5 does not include the Pixel Neural Core chip

Google has confirmed that its newer Pixel phones launch the company's 'Pixel Neural Core', a companion chip designed to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities. For example, the Pixel Neural Core in last year's Pixel 4 and 4 XL helped with photo processing and face unlock. In addition, Pixel Neural Core succeeded the 'Pixel Visual Core' present in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 series. Google confirmed Android Police that "both new phones do not have Pixel Neural Core and face unlock."
