Report names the seven players set to leave Liverpool this summer

Date published: Wednesday 29th July 2020 11:29 Liverpool could continue their summer exodus after already bidding farewell to Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana, claims a report. Lovren and Lallana were two of the longest-serving players under Jurgen Klopp, but after playing a lesser part in their Premier League title win, the former Southampton pair have both been allowed to move on. Defender Lovren has joined Zenit St Petersburg in a £10.9m deal. Meanwhile, Lallana has returned to the South Coast to play for Brighton. But Liverpool may not be finished with player exits there. Despite depth being required to maintain their position among the elite, the Daily Mirror claims as many as seven fringe players are at risk of being sold....

Brentford boss Frank gives class Bielsa message after Leeds promotion

Date published: Saturday 18th July 2020 4:22 Brentford manager Thomas Frank has congratulated Leeds United on the “big story” of them winning the Championship. With automatic promotion already confirmed, Leeds knew they would go up as champions if Brentford failed to beat Stoke. And that’s exactly what happened, as Frank’s side lost 1-0. Brentford remain firmly in the mix for promotion, and could do it automatically if they win their last game and West Brom don’t win theirs. However, neither can catch Leeds – and Frank only had words of congratulations for Marcelo Bielsa and his players. “This is the Championship and this is what can happen,” Frank told Sky Sports.“We knew it would be a difficult game to play against Stok...

Having won eight games in a row, seven since the restart, the Bees were heavy favourites to claim another win. After West Brom’s shock 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield on Friday evening, a point would have seen them edge Slaven Bilic’s side with just a game to play. Arsenal, Chelsea sent warning amid talk of £30m Said Benrahma swoop

Date published: Saturday 18th July 2020 8:03 Brentford boss Thomas Frank insists his star player Said Benrahma is happy amid talk of a £30m switch to the Premier League. The Algeria winger has been in sensational form this season and has spearheaded a promotion push from the Bees.A point against Stoke on Saturday lunchtime will send Brentford into the automatic promotion spots with just a game to go. But Benrahma’s form has rightly grabbed plenty of attention. We revealed well over a year ago that he was being watched by Tottenham and Arsenal. This season, however, his game has gone up a level and he’s drawn favourable comparisons with Eden Hazard. That has, understandably, also seen Chelsea linked with his signature. Frank...
