Bluetooth group looks for ways to bring exposure notifications to wearables

People took advantage of various criticisms against the exposure notification system developed by Apple and Google and adopted by several countries, including Canada. A fundamental and legitimate concern is that the exposure notification system only works for people with new smartphones and does nothing for people who don't have any phones. However, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), a body that administers the Bluetooth standard, is looking for ways to extend exposure notification solutions to work on portable devices as well.
