Toronto Bike Share adds 300 electric bikes to its fleet

Toronto is adding new e-bikes to its fleet starting today, but a strong charging infrastructure will follow. Begining of June, Bike Share Toronto announced which is adding 300 electric bikes and 10 charging stations to its network. A representative from Bike Share Toronto said that 50 of the bikes will be deployed starting today, and will be swapped out when charging is necessary. The company's press release mentions that the 10 loading bays for the bikes will be installed in the coming weeks. Each station can accommodate between 20 and 25 bikes in total. It appears that for now, e-bikes will be docked at regular bike stands, and workers will have to come pick them up at night and take them to a warehouse where they will be charge...
