OnePlus app allows all Android phones to update / customize OnePlus Buds

OnePlus has a new application in early access called 'Hey melody'which allows other Android device users to update and customize their OnePlus branded headphones. When OnePlus first released the excellent OnePlus Buds, their main problem was that it was necessary to connect the headphones to a OnePlus phone to get the most out of them. This included customizing what the touchpads on each headset do and updating the headset's firmware. While the HeyMelody app says OnePlus developed it, you can use it for the OnePlus and Oppo headphones once you open the app. The app is still in early access, so ideally more features will be added in the future. The newer OnePlus Buds Z are included in HeyMelody, but older models like the Bullets ...

Microsoft Releases Xbox Game Bar Update With New Resource Widget And More

After testing a new performance widget on the Xbox Game Bar earlier this month, Microsoft implement it for gamers on Windows 10. Xbox Game Bar, for those unfamiliar with it, is an overlay that PC gamers call up by tapping the Windows key + 'G' on their keyboard. The overlay gives users access to features like audio controls, video capture, Xbox social settings, and even performance metrics. Turns out you don’t have movies that you buy from Amazon, Apple, Google

A recent lawsuit launched on Amazon has brought to light that when you buy digital film, you don't really own it forever. The terms used by Apple, Google, and Amazon seem like the industry average. These terms allow users unlimited views of the movie or show they purchased, but if the company loses the license to that content, it will be removed from their online library. Personally, I've never heard of anyone having this happen to you outside of Netflix and other streaming services, but it's something to keep in mind. Amazon's attorney in the cases says that "These Terms of Use expressly state that buyers obtain only a limited license to view video content and that purchased content may become unavailable due to the provider's or...

While I agree with the icons, a bigger sham will soon appear on your smartphone's home screen. Discovered by 9to5Google Y Android PoliceGoogle is slowly rolling out new icons for the Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps on Android. Spoiler: they are terrible. Fortunately the implementation seems to be taking its time and of the devices I checked, only one had the icons updated. However, it won't be long until your screens are subjected to the terrible icons, so value the time you have left. Realistically, the change is not substantial. The current Documents, Sheets, and Slides icons have a blue, green, or yellow background, respectively. Each one has a...
