Leaker suggests Apple’s AirTags will be released in two sizes and ‘coming soon’

Apple's AirTags are reportedly "coming soon" and available in two different sizes, according to the often-trusted leaker 'L0vetodream' on Twitter. the leaker's first tweet it was pretty cryptic and just said "big, small, coming soon". However, after tons of speculation in the comments, the leaker follow-up tweet read: "TAG tag", confirming the belief that the tweets were referring to AirTags. It would make sense to have a large and small option for AirTags, as you could put the smaller one in your wallet and use a larger one for things like luggage. Although various trackers such as Tile products have been around for a while, AirTags will use ultra-wideband radio to find a precise location. They will also reportedly use all iOS d...

DJI’s New Pocket Camera Brings Stabilized 4K Content to the Masses

Mobile camera, gimbal and drone company DJI has a new pocket camera called DJI Pocket 2 that can shoot 4K video with three-axis stabilization. This new camera is the successor to the Osmo Pocket, although the company has removed the Osmo brand from the product. The company says this new version has a larger image sensor and a wider angle lens, plus there's a new eight-fold zoom feature that allows for great close-up shots. To aid all these new hardware features, DJI has improved its focus system to make it easier for people to follow the subject of their footage without losing focus. There's also a revamped audio system that the company calls the DJI Matrix Stereo, which should help people get clear audio, according to the company...

Apple’s new MagSafe accessories to launch after iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro

One of the most exciting new products that Apple showed off at its October iPhone event was the new MagSafe-branded accessories, but it seems most of them won't be ready for the iPhone launch. There are some Apple MagSafe cases, a leather wallet accessory, and two wireless fast chargers. These all look super cool, but it should be noted that the new wireless charger uses a USB-C power cord but does not include a USB-C power brick in the box. This means that anyone who buys this charger should also get a USB-C block to use if they don't already have an additional one. For reference, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be released on October 23. The second round of devices, including the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max, will...

PopSockets working on MagSafe version to work with iPhone 12 series

Before Apple's 'Hi, Speed' iPhone 12 event, I wrote about a leaked wireless charger that predicted the company's MagSafe renaissance. A few hours later, Apple confirmed those rumors to be true when it officially unveiled MagSafe for the iPhone 12 series. At the time, he was unsure of MagSafe's potential applications beyond lining up wireless charging pads and phones with magnets. Apple quickly dispersed that as a secondary, perhaps even tertiary function. I'd say the true purpose of MagSafe isn't so much about charging as it is about a new way to customize iPhones. If you don't believe me, just keep an eye out for all the third party accessory makers that are about to release all kinds of MagSafe products, or relaunch existing ...

OnePlus’ new Buds Z headphones cost $ 70

Along with the OnePlus 8T, the company has also drawn the curtain on a new set of wireless earbuds called the OnePlus Buds Z. These headphones are a bit cheaper than the $ 109 OnePlus Buds from July, at $ 69.99. The new shoots feature 10mm drivers that are slightly smaller than the 12mm drives on the previous shoots. OnePlus has also added Bass Boost and Dolby Atmos support to help with music and video audio. The total battery life of the headphones with the charging case is 20 hours. This is not as much as the original Buds, but it is still substantial listening time. Also included inside are Bluetooth 5.0 and Android Quick Pair technology. This time around there is a new design that looks a bit more like Apple's AirPods Pros, ...

Apple quietly launches new Beats Flex headphones

To replace your BeatsX neck pads, Apple has released a new version of the headphones called the Beats Flex. The headphones look like the previous model, but have a 12-hour battery life with a moderate form of fast charging. Apple says people can expect to add 1.5 hours of battery life in 10 minutes. Like many other Apple-branded headphones, the Beats Flex use a W1 chip so they connect to iPhones quickly without having to alter your phone's Bluetooth settings. These headphones can also use audio sharing, which means that an iPhone can play music on two pairs of compatible headphones at the same time. So far only select Beats and AirPods models support the feature. One of the new features makes the headphones pause whatever you're ...

MagSafe returns with Apple’s new iPhone 12

With the new iPhone 12 series, the company has added a new technology called MagSafe. Originally available on the 2016 MacBook, MagSafe now comes with the latest variants of iPhones and works with cases, wallets, and chargers. You'll be able to magnetically connect your iPhone to a wireless charger, as well as a magnetic wallet accessory that snaps onto the back of your iPhone. A new leather cover that fits the device shows a new clock mode for iOS. There is also a foldable charger combined with MagSafe that works for iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple says third-party accessory manufacturers like Belkin are currently working on MagSafe accessories for the iPhone 12 series. More to come ...

Apple has removed the charging bricks from the iPhone case

After first removing the charging block from the Apple Watch, the company is doing the same by removing the charging block from the iPhone case. All four new iPhones are dropping a charging block and Lightning earbuds for environmental reasons. That means people will only get a phone and a USB-C to Lightning to wire in the box. Apple aims to have a zero net carbon footprint across the company by 2030. Removing the new items from the box means the boxes are smaller so that Apple can ship more phones at once, and not giving away chargers means company has to make less chargers and headphones. These two incentives result in a substantial decrease in carbon according to Apple. Buying one of these bricks from Apple will cost you $ 25 ...

Third-Party Wireless Charger Suggests iPhone 12 Could Support Magnetic Chargers – Report

Rumors suggest that Apple plans to revive its 'MagSafe' brand with new wireless chargers that connect to the iPhone 12 series with magnets, and now a third-party wireless charger supposedly designed to work with this new magnetic system has appeared online. For starters, the rumors started in August when reports indicated that Apple was working on a new wireless charger after the failure of its ambitious AirPower project. Details have since suggested that Apple would incorporate a ring of magnets into the new iPhones that would help place it on the charging pad. Finally, two leakers shared details on how Apple plans to launch two wireless chargers branded 'MagSafe'. MagSafe, for those of you who may not remember, was the charging...

LG Tone Free (HBS-FN6) are the cleanest headphones out there

The LG Tone Free (HBS-FN6) are the latest true wireless headphones from the South Korean company. These earbuds are great as they come with their own disinfection method, they're loud, lightweight, and have a pretty standard design, especially compared to options like the Pixel Buds and Surface Earbuds. The $ 199 headphones are generally decent, but they have some tradeoffs. If you are looking for true wireless headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC) or even passive noise cancellation, the Tone Free headphones are not for you. However, Tone Free offers a usable app, good sound, and something I haven't seen yet on a device available in Canada; Ultraviolet nanotechnology that disinfects the headphones every time you put them in their case. Nomad’s Base Station Pro almost fills the gap left by Apple’s AirPower

Wireless charging has never really lived up to its noble promise of convenience. Over the years, I have tried various chargers from various manufacturers, including Logitech, Belkin, Anker, and Aukey, and almost each and every one of them suffers from forcing you to precisely position the device you are trying to charge on the pad.For example, the Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger works quite well because it has specific locations to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Nomad's base station can be great but ultimately frustrating because it's difficult to position your device correctly to get a proper charge, especially if you're trying to charge a smartphone. Several times I thought that I had correctly configured my phone on the Nomad base station only to find that my iPhon...

Asus ZenScreen Touch offers plenty of extra screen real estate on the go

Thanks to the ongoing pandemic, I have been working remotely for several months. One thing I really miss about the office is having a second monitor, which made it easy to keep multiple windows open simultaneously and be more productive overall. Although I've been settling for an ultra-wide monitor that allows me to comfortably view two windows side by side, I was still missing that extra space. It also essentially kept me chained to my desk, as my laptop's small screen alone wasn't enough to be productive. Asus' portable ZenScreen monitor, however, has significantly expanded my working capabilities. The company sent me one to review and although it is not the first ZenScreen monitor MobileSyrup tested, it brings some improvements along with a higher price. The ZenScreen Tough I te...
