Catalonia expands rental aid with 900,000 euros: these are the requirements

The Ministry of Social Rights of the Generalitat has expanded in 900.000 euros the ordinary aid budget to pay rentals, as published by the DOGC, which covers the need of 53,000 families and reaches the 100 million of this contribution.

Some 9,000 grants have also been granted to pay the rent, specific to older peoples, which have had a separate budget of 19,200,000 euros, the department headed by Violant Cervera reported this Friday in a statement.

The announcement To access ordinary aid, which now reaches 100 million, it was opened in April and included some modifications in its regulatory bases “to adapt to the real situation of rental income prices.” It is intended for people who are not in imminent vulnerability but they could have it if they do not pay the rent, and the Agència de l’Habitatge de Catalunya grants a maximum annual amount of 2,400 euros (200 maximum per month).
