“What happened yesterday is something I don’t deserve”. This is how the leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, began his interview at COPE after the day on Thursday, in which the Casado-Ayuso war intensified to unsuspected limits.
After the accusations of the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, in which she pointed to the national leadership of her formation of linking it to corruption “without evidence” and of trying to devise a plan to destroy it, the popular leader has assured that “I have never told Isabel not to count on her for the presidency of the PP in Madrid”. And she does not stitch if she threads: “The one who made all this public was the Community of Madrid. At the moment that it does not give me explanations and that it recognizes that there has been a contract with a relative, it is very easy to demonstrate what that benefit has been.”
Thus, he has not hesitated, after acknowledging that he feels “surprised and disappointed, but very calm”, in being blunt in pointing out that “Beyond the fact that it is illegal, the question is whether it is understandable that on April 1, 2020, when 700 people died in Spain, you can contract with your sister and receive 300,000 euros for selling masks. I would not allow my brother to collect 300,000 euros for a contract decided in a council of ministers,” to add that “The Spaniards cannot admit that there is preferential treatment.”
So since, Casado has not hesitated to pass the ball to the Madrid president: “At the end of the summer, I received information with tax and bank data on the alleged collection of that bribe, but not from Moncloa. I deduced that it came from some entity public, but I did not tell Ayuso that I came from the Government“, has said.

In this sense and making it clear that “I’m not accusing, I’m asking”Casado has pointed out that “the obligation of the person [Ayuso] to which I ask it would have been to answer me with certainty”. In addition, he stressed that “I want to have that information and I think it is good for the credibility of a political formation that aspires to have the support of the Spanish to govern a country”.
