Vancouver Canucks defender Tucker Poolman will have a disciplinary hearing Friday for a high-level incident during Thursday’s 7-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Poolman struck Colorado’s Kiefer Sherwood on the side of the head and neck with his cane.
Poolman received a game penalty for attempting to injure himself on the play, leading to an automatic suspension pending an as-is hearing.
The NHL Player Safety Department announced Friday morning that Poolman would face supplemental discipline.
