The Canucks won’t be in the playoffs and the Kings will be. Neither team has much to play for, though the Canucks still want to finish on a high note. Plus, there are a couple of old familiar faces in the Kings’ lineup in Alex Edler and Troy Stecher.

THREE THINGS ABOUT THE KINGS

• One last time: Thursday is LA’s last game of the season, one day after they play their penultimate tilt in Seattle. How much focus will they have on this game and how much will they be looking ahead to next week, when they face the Edmonton Oilers in the playoffs? (The Canucks’s last game of the season is Friday in Edmonton.)

• Old time look: Reportedly, the Canucks will wear their black skate uniforms again on Thursday. The Kings are going to be in their throwback white uniforms, modeled after the sweaters they wore in the Wayne Gretzky years, along with their now infamous chrome helmets.

• Lineup shuffle: Kings coach Todd McLellan said Wednesday in Edmonton that he will be using his full roster over the remaining two games of the season, so the Kings’ coaches could be juggling lines and pairings about. Vancouver fans will be hopeful to see old favorites Stecher and Edler. Stecher, though, hasn’t played since the Kings were shelled last week at home by the Chicago Blackhawks. Edler, on the other hand, has come to be a mainstay in McLellan’s lineup — when he’s been healthy.
