WHY SEE
There are no Vancouver Canucks left in the lineup that played in the 2011 Stanley Cup final. Alex Edler was last and left ship in the summer, signing as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings. Two of Boston’s top three scorers are holdovers from their Cup win over the Canucks, but the team has also delivered most of its roster with far more success than the Canucks. Want to see how a superior team can really rebuild itself on the fly? We give you the Boston Bruins.

THREE THINGS ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
• All about the D : In many ways, the way the Bruins play is actually what the Canucks dream of being. They are not an offensive powerhouse, but they are closing things off on their own. And that doesn’t bode well for these Canucks, who are also struggling to get into the scoring areas.
• That kind? Still?: The offensive bus is still driven by Brad Marchand. It is at a rate of 40 goals in the season. His personal record is 39 goals in 2016-17.

• Looking for consistency: In general, the Bruins are still finding their way. Coach Bruce Cassidy has had the line blender, looking for the right combinations. They have been inconsistent as a team, with inopportune failures that have led to inopportune goals. Still, they are above .500 and heading in the right direction. The Canucks would love to have this as their story.
