Cane growers from Quintana Roo ask the SAT for flexibility in Miscellaneous Tax

Cancun, QR. During a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Tax Administration Service (SAT), sugarcane from the southern part of Quintana Roo, Accompanied by the federal deputy of District 2, Anahí González Hernández, they expressed their concern about the modifications of the Fiscal Miscellaneous that came into force as of January 2021.

The legislator presented an exhortation before the Congress of the Union, addressed to the head of the SATRaquel Buenrostro Sánchez, so that in the 32 states of the country orientation sessions are held, focused on the primary sector, on the changes and additions that, in fiscal matters, came into force as of January 1 of this year.

The head of the Office of SAT reported that “studies are being carried out to adjust operating rules of the Miscellaneous Fiscal, taking into account the message transmitted to them by the sugarcane leader Benjamín Gutiérrez”.

He informed the cane leaders that he SAT It studies exempting natural persons with primary activities from monthly declarations, as long as their income is less than 900,000 pesos per year.

In addition, in recent days a working meeting was held between important sugarcane leaders, producers and leaders of the primary sector in the southern part of the state with Carlos Cruz Arzate, head of the SAT Office; Carlos Overlín García Cantú, head of the SAT Liaison Office; Adriana Medrano García, Central Administrator of Taxpayer Services Legal Support and Laura Juárez, Central Administrator of Internal Taxes.

Meanwhile, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) was Santiago José Argüello Campos, director of Agriculture Promotion, who formalized actions aimed at fiscal flexibility for sugarcane producers in southern Quintana Roo.

Finally, the deputy, González Hernández, reported that face-to-face and virtual work tables will be held in the south of Quintana Roo, to improve communication between the SAT and producers in the primary sector.
