Forward Tyler Toffoli did not participate in practice Friday at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, instead taking a day of therapy.

There was good news on Friday, as forward Mike Hoffman, who has been out of the game since sustaining an upper body injury during a game in Detroit on November 13, took part in practice, skating on a line with Christian Dvorak and Cole Caufield.

The other attack lines in practice had Nick Suzuki between Artturi Lehkonen and Jake Evans; Ryan Poehling between Jonathan Drouin and Joel Armia; and Mathieu Perreault between Michael Pezzetta and Cédric Paquette and Dauphin, who divided the time on the right wing.

The Canadiens are 6-17-2.
