Canada’s annual pace of inflation increased in July – CityNews Toronto

The Consumer Price Index rose 3.7 percent in July on a year-over-year basis.

That compares with a 3.1 percent increase in June, according to Statistics Canada.

On a monthly basis, the inflation rate rose 0.6 percent, the fastest pace since January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the inflation rate rose 0.5 percent.
