Canada offers up to three years of residence to Ukrainians


The Government of Canada announced on Thursday a new immigration program that includes granting Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion a temporary residence permit in the country for up to three years.

Canada, which has a large Ukrainian diaspora, mainly in the center and west of the country, reported in a statement that “Ukrainians and their immediate family members of any nationality will be able to stay in Canada up to a maximum of three years as temporary residents”.

Applicants must apply online.
