All three intersections guarantee criteria-based signals that assess traffic volumes, delays and safety, Pat Grisak, traffic management coordinator with the city, said by email Monday.

“Traffic safety is a primary concern for the City of Calgary, and the three intersections at John Laurie Boulevard NW require traffic signals to address the collision problems that are occurring along the corridor,” he said.

“The traffic lights at Brisebois Drive NW will also provide the community with a safe and highly desired crossing for pedestrians walking into Nose Hill Park.”
