Calgary MEOW Foundation Raises Pet Food and Supplies in Donation Drive – Calgary | The Canadian News

The MEOW Foundation, a Calgary-based cat rescue group, collected food, trash, and cleaning supplies with the goal of “filling the truck” with essential items for your adoption center during a donation drive event on Saturday.

“We are trying to replenish food and supplies for our adoption center that both we and the cats need,” said Rachel Nadler, communications specialist for the MEOW Foundation.

“The holiday season is the season of giving, and this is just one of many opportunities for people to connect with MEOW and support us and support cats.”

The foundation said it has taken in nearly 800 cats and completed nearly 750 adoptions so far in 2021. MEOW has about 200 cats in its care now, Nadler said.

The story continues below the ad.

“They have a variety of dietary needs, some of them need prescription foods, so any support we can get from the community is greatly appreciated,” said Nadler. “We also need supplies for our adoption center, like bleach, laundry soap, dishwashers, paper towels, things like that, which go a long way.”

The same event will take place on December 4 at Paws Pet Food, located at 8403 Elbow Drive SW
