Dr. Jake Donaldson (he/him) earned his BA from Carroll College in Montana and his MD from the University of Washington. He went on to complete a family medicine residency, as well as fellowships in Maternal & Child Health and HIV/AIDS Medicine, at the top-ranked Ventura Family Medicine Residency.
Before coming to Calgary, Jake spent a decade working in a safety net system in Ventura County, California, where he was one of the founders of the Santa Paula Pride Clinic, which serves the regional LGBTQ+ community. Jake has worked extensively with medical students and residents, and has been a regular speaker on the subjects of LGBTQ+ medicine and HIV/STD care.
Jake enjoys full-spectrum family medicine, including pediatrics, women’s health/maternity care, preventative care, procedural medicine, and both inpatient and outpatient medicine.
In addition to his primary care practice, Jake accepts consults for LGBTQ+ care, including HRT for transgender and gender non binary individuals.
