Businessmen call not to close activities and attack inflation in the face of fourth wave of infections

Ante la fourth wave of infections by Covid-19, regional businessmen warned that the country would not endure more restrictions or confinements in the productive, commercial and service sectors of the entire national territory, for which public actions are urgently required that coordinated with the private sector to reinforce sanitary measures.

Jose Manuel Urreta Ortega, president of the National Association of Regional Business Councils, said that Mexico demands to regain the confidence of national and foreign investors so that the economic recovery is more dynamic, control high inflation levels and that there are no more confinements or restrictions derived from the fourth wave of infections throughout the Mexican territory.

Among the challenges of 2022, the leader called to address the internal causes of growth in the inflation, especially the underlying one, as some officials have pointed out.

“Although Banxico has done the same, we bring a very high inflation that is already noticeable in the pocket of Mexicans, inflation that we do not know if the federal government is going to be able to control it. I think it is an issue that should be worked on immediately ”, he pointed out.

For his part, Omar Gutiérrez Trujillo, president of CCE La Paz, Baja California Sur, said that the Covid-19 It is affecting the economy of the entity in three different ways: directly to the services of the tourism sector, creating disruptions in the supply chain in the market and making its products more expensive in order to keep businesses alive.
