Bryan Adams, Mother Mother and 54-40 will play a New Years Eve concert at Rogers Arena.
In a prepared statement, Adams and promoter Live Nation Canada said the move was prompted by provincial health official Dr. Bonnie Henry, who raised COVID-19 capacity limits at large events.
“As live entertainment returns, the event will mark the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in decades, a welcome sign to start a new year,” the statement read.
Ticket prices will start at $ 21.21, plus service charges.
Adams, Mother Mother and 54-40 started in Vancouver.
Adams will release his 15th studio album, So Happy It Hurts, on March 11, 2022, followed by a UK tour. Vancouver’s New Years Eve event will mark the first show in Adams’ hometown in nearly four years.
All concert goers must be fully vaccinated.
