In a prepared statement, Adams and promoter Live Nation Canada said the move was prompted by provincial health official Dr. Bonnie Henry, who raised COVID-19 capacity limits at large events.
“As live entertainment returns, the event will mark the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in decades, a welcome sign to start a new year,” the statement read.
Ticket prices will start at $ 21.21, plus service charges.
