Brilliant Monuments from Around the World on Display at Glow Saskatoon – Saskatoon | The Canadian News

Glow Saskatoon is back with illuminated landmarks from five different countries.

The return to the indoor holiday lights festival will run through December 28 at Prairieland Park, excluding December 6, 13 and 25.

“We are very excited to bring it back to Saskatoon, and I think it is a great opportunity for a holiday tradition for the people as well,” said Susan Kuzma, manager of special events at Prairieland Park.

“This is a fantastic Christmas light display. … We open our doors to all of Saskatoon and the area to spend a wonderful afternoon or evening here at Glow, and simply to enjoy all the spectacular lights we have to offer.

“It is very suitable for families. There are many opportunities for the little ones to come. There are play areas, there are many real activities that children can do, but it is also a good opportunity for couples ”.

This year’s theme is “Shine Around the World,” featuring scintillating landmarks from China, the Netherlands, Mexico, France and England.

“You will be able to pick up a passport when you walk in the door and you will be able to stamp that passport in each of the countries,” Kuzma said.

Prairieland Park noted that it will follow all government-mandated public health orders, including proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test within 48 hours of entry.

“The show is sold by the hour, so you can choose your day in your time to come. You can stay as long as you want, but it just helps us control capacities … and vaccinations are required, ”said Kuzma.

Another ongoing winter attraction in the city is BHP’s Enchanted Forest. The 23rd Annual Outdoor Holiday Lights Tour is open nightly from 5:30 pm to 10 pm through January 9 at Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park.

Enchanted Forest officials said a record 92,000 visitors walked through the door last holiday season.
