The name of the one who is a free agent with compensation does not appear on the list of the expected 54 players which was unveiled by the organization on Tuesday.
Tkachuk and the Senators are therefore continuing negotiations for a long-term contract. According to various sources, an offer of eight years and $ 64 million was recently submitted by the formation of Ottawa.
For now, the Senators camp will open at the Canadian Tire Center with 30 forwards, 18 defensemen and six goalies. After the medical tests on Wednesday, the training on the ice must be formally held starting Thursday.
The Senators note the presence of 12 former first-round draft picks. Tkachuk would be the 13th player in this category.
