Boil water advisory in effect in Brossard

The City of Brossard issued a boil water advisory for its entire territory on Saturday due to the presence of total coliforms (E. coli) in the water system.

The boil water advisory was issued “following laboratory analysis results,” read a press release.

The municipality recommends boiling water for at least one minute before consumption, “until further notice”.

However, unboiled tap water can be used to wash dishes, wash clothes, or take a shower or bath.

This instruction is for a minimum of 48 hours, specified the City of Brossard.

In particular, conformity tests must be carried out.
